Contact Information Getting Started In "The Ironclads" Step
One: Understand the Crew
- Youth Crew members must be 14-20 years
old
- Adult members are welcome as advisors
- Read the Mission Statement
- Read the Expectations and Goals
- Determine if Venturing is right for
you!
Step Two: Try it out
- Look at the Event schedule
- Contact either the Adult Advisor or the
Crew President for which event you would like to attend.
- Give your approximate clothing
size
Step Three: Complete the application
and pay the fees
- Complete the Venture Application form
- Complete the medical forms with adult
signature
- Write out checks for the Crew fees
- Mail documents (or hand them) to the
Crew Advisor "
Step Four: Purchase basic
equipment
- Every member has one year to attain
their basic kit "
- Loaner uniforms & equipment may
be used during 1st year
- Military members of the crew are to buy
- Light Blue Trousers & Dark Blue
4 button Sack Coat
- White Muslin Shirt, Socks, and
Suspenders
- Canteen w/blue cover, US Belt w/
brass keeper, and Dark Blue Forage Cap
- Brogans
- Period plate, fork, spoon, knife,
and cup
- Civilian members are to buy
- The clothing necessary for your
impression (consult with the civilian coordinator)
- Period plate, fork, spoon, knife,
and cup
- Canteen or water container (period
or not)
